Wednesday, 4/30... Hi friends, hope you are all enjoying Spring so far. The conditions around here are improving daily. The Schroon River has come down quite a lot over the past two weeks. It is still about two feet above perfect, but it is approachable with caution. Fortunately the recent rain didn’t raise the water level much. I expect to see more fishermen around this weekend. The reports that I have received on pond fishing have been very good over the past couple of days. Two guys stopped by the store yesterday after fishing at ....#!* pond and had a beautiful mess of Brookies ranging from 16-21 inches. They earned them after freezing in a canoe all day trolling. The Rainbows and Crappies have been hitting real good over on Brant Lake, and they are catching some decent Salmon on Schroon Lake especially in front of Adirondack. The Crossroads new Deli and Cafe will be open soon serving breakfast sandwiches, subs, salads, homemade chili, and more. Also, we have the BEST SELECTION OF MICRO BREWED BEERS IN THE ADIRONDACK PARK.
