Thursday 6/26... Hi everyone, Sorry for the delay in my reports. I hope you have all had the chance to fish or enjoy the outdoors. These last couple of weeks have been pretty nice. The conditions locally have improved a bit. The temperature in the Schroon River was getting too warm, too fast. It was almost mid seventies two weeks ago, and it is back down to mid sixties. The nights have been consistently cool and that has helped a lot. We haven’t had the rain up here that other areas have gotten but we have had short sporatic showers here and there...better than nothing. The fishing continues to be good. There are a lot of bugs coming off the river especially in the evenings. Lots of Caddis and some nice big Mayflies. Large surface patterns like stimulators and Wulff’s have been working well in size 8's and 10's. The bass have also been very active around the area. They are hitting a variety of baits from shiners to rubber worms. Stop in and check out our great selection of tackle, or try a sandwich from our new deli, featuring all Bore’s Head meats.
